A sign-and-trade may have been the deal here.  Utah needs a PF and hardly
has anyone under contract for any length of time except some rookies.
Boston could open some space next year with an expiring contract being
thrown in to a lower money, short term resigned Malone deal.

As someone else said, you need to see all the ramifications of a deal to
judge it's value.
