Yes congrats to Max. Before Kevin became a force, Maxwell was the
workhorse scorer/defensive forward opposite young Larry. It takes some
guts to put a team on your back and hold your own on D and O with the
great James Worthy.
I see a little of him in EW (toughness, style, and role on the team).
But I'm still not a fan of Eric's inefficient game. This year like
every year he's shooting in the low 40% or 30%, and doesn't have the 3pt
bomber excuse that Toine had.

I would like to congratulate Cedric Maxwell for #31 being hoisted to the
rafters tonight. He was one of the greatest playoff performers I've
ever seen and was supremely workmanlike. It is still a mystery to me
how Larry Bird was voted to the All-Defensive team when it was Max who
was guarding the Doc and Worthy.
