RE: Back on the Bandwagon

Max was one of my all-time favorite Celtics. He could so many things, and he
had the brains to do the right thing at the right time. He could rebound,
score, play consummate D, and had a great handle. He got UNCC into the final
four playing point-center. He brought the ball up the court, then went
inside and dominated. He was a huge factor in two championships.

I also really enjoy his radio work. Hang 'em high, Cedric!

I would like to congratulate Cedric Maxwell for #31 being hoisted to the
rafters tonight. He was one of the greatest playoff performers I've
ever seen and was supremely workmanlike. It is still a mystery to me
how Larry Bird was voted to the All-Defensive team when it was Max who
was guarding the Doc and Worthy.
