Re:Cs stay with gameplan but Nuggets don't read scouting report

>>>I guess I don't care as long as they continue to work inside out and feed
the
post first. I'll have to say I didn't like some of PP's attempts at point
guard in the second half. If he would have stayed with the gameplan, we would
have won by 15.<<<<

Not to speak for him but I think this is the kind of stuff Lapdoggy was
talking about.
What exactly would make you say this?
You have to be talking about the fourth quarter, because that was the only
time Pierce controlled the ball. So, what was the problem?
Was he not passing? 3 of Paul's 10 assists came in the quarter.
Was he taking too many shots? Not unless you think 5 shots is too many for
your best shooter.
Was he not hitting his shots? 3 of 5.
Was he turning the ball over? Of the Celtics four turnovers in the quarter,
none of them were from Pierce. Battie, James, Williams, and Blount all had
turnovers.
Was he not getting the ball inside to Williams? Eric took 4 shots and missed
them all. He also got to the line twice, both times on feeds from Pierce.
Paul also got him the ball in the paint another time which ended up a jump ball
situation. He also got the ball to a cutting Battie, who couldn't convert.
Jiri was 1 of 2, 1 assist 1 rebound, and the much maligned James was 3 of 3,
zero assists, 1 rebound. Blount had a huge rebound and put back, otherwise he
was invisible, as was Battie except for his 6 rebounds, and I think three of
them came on one play.
LaFrentz was sitting on the bench twiddling his thumbs once again and Baker
was in the locker room with "cold symptoms". Which means we were once again
treated to Walter down the stretch. At least Walter was passing because he sure
wasn't playing defense.
The only two assists in the fourth quarter other than Paul's were by Welsch
to Pierce and McCarty to Pierce.
Also, for all the praise Jiri is getting for feeding the post and always
making the right play, none of his assists came inside. He had one to Tony, but
that was a baseline jumper not a post up. His other two assists came from
Pierce jumpers. He also had two turnovers of the in the second half run by the
Nuggets and a third in the first half that probably could have been his but was
given to Banks instead.

On the other hand, three of Bakers four baskets were assisted by Pierce.

I'll also add that four of Paul's seven rebounds came in the fourth quarter.
A couple of them were huge.
So I guess I'm confused as to what exactly Paul did that caused the team to
not win by 15?

I watch the games and I see that no one is playing perfectly.
Yet Paul can shoot over 50%, and have a 3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio, play
a wonderful fourth quarter, get the most important rebounds of the game and
still be criticized while Eric can go 0 for 4 down the stretch and be praised
for his hard work.

Do I want Paul being the setup man for everyone else? No. But who else on
this team is doing it right now? Banks has shone flashes, but nothing
consistant. James isn't the answer. And for those who think Jiri can do it, have you
seen some of the fast breaks he's run? Ugly doesn't discribe it. He also
found out last night it's a lot more difficult to do the right thing when the
entire defense is focusing on you, which was the case in the third quarter when
Paul was on the bench.
I just don't think Jiri is the answer at the point.
With Tony and Raef getting limited minutes and neither Banks or James
stepping up at the point, we are going to struggle to finish games. It's that simple.
