And that's "The Fixer". The Fixer can fast track the Charlotte sale,
freeing Bird to graciously bow out by the end of the upcoming season,
allowing him a whole off-season to get the new management and
coaching team  in place.

In fact, The Fixer could do something amusingly ironic, and that is
substitute Magic for Bird in the Charlotte equation. After all,
Magic is looking for a team to run, and keeping the Bird - Magic
rivalry active would be a nostalgic boost to the NBA.
Certainly would make those Charlotte games more interesting
to have Bird and Magic at courtside.
