Re: Obie ... stubborn passive-aggressive?

Good post, Eggy. I'm less concerned with what we see of Obie's game
planning right now because he's a thoughtful guy and knows what he needs
from the captains, and also knows that for Baker to succeed here (Vin's
desperate to fit in) he'll follow the coach's direction. It's just too
early to see how the guys play together to decide on their fate.

I couldn't IMAGINE a war between Obie and Wallace, though. Obie's had to be
empathetic to Gaston's unwillingness to pay for players, but he's never
accept the Baker trade if he couldn't count on Vin's attitude to be solid.
The thought of a mgt conflict is too much to consider, with all the other
problems the team has.

There are no plays for Baker because he wants things from Baker and he has
to show the captains that Vin is a slave to the "system" that PP and Twan
have in place. I just want to see more effort to rebound from VB and expect
that the Nets will be our toughest foe and they have the least adaptation to
make. Rodney for Keith doesn't exactly throw their offense out of whack.
Neither does Deke for Todd. WE'RE the team that's changing more and it's
expected to take time to sort out. When the dust settles, we'll probably be
closer to the Nets than we were last year.
