Re: Wallace has a short memory

By the way, I wanted to find out a little more about Obie's coaching
philosophy, so I went back and checked some University of Dayton basketball
records. You know Obie single-handedly destroyed that program, taking it
from a perennial postseason contender to single-digit wins in a matter of
four years. Anyway, Obie's UD teams hold almost every school record for
three-point attempts. They kept shooting more and more, and winning less and
less (after initial success in his first season). I hope history doesn't
    repeat itself.>>Mark Berry

Damn, Mark, you're more aggravated than I am.

I haven't checked Obie's history, but I'll take your word for it. Hard to believe an
ex-PG would hate to see that position well-represented, but I'm still stuck on the
chicken-egg thing. Is Obie avoiding a good PG because of his personnel or is he
bringing in personnel that support HIS philosophy, which is 3pt shots from anywhere?

Yeah, the Celts would have beaten the Nets and Lakers if only Kenny could shoot.
Right.

Let's just say that I'm in total agreement with you about the philosophy, and if the
Celts don't win big with this crew, the owners will dump them after the season. If a
captain doesn't like it, he's gone as well. Regardless of CNNSI, we can get a max
player for either Twan or Pierce at any time.

I'm still giving Obie the benefit of the doubt that he has a plan to "migrate" the
captains over to an unselfish style of play that allows for Easy Baskets" inside, and
can help the team generate rebounds on both ends. I won't repeat it, but Stage One
was defense, Stage Two was Share with Rodney and Stage Three is Share Earlier with
Vin. Stage Four is next year's Move your Butt Offense.

Hey, if not, we'll see a new crew running the asylum. Meanwhile, aren't you a bit
curious how VB will fit in with the Trifecta Twins?
