RE: Some Depressing News From Peter May

The difference between L.A. & the Celtics is they have made the key
acquisitions and received key production out of role players such as Ron
Harper, Fox, Fisher, Horry, and Chris Wallace and the scouting staff such as
Papile, who are paid to be able to evaluate, have done an extremely poor
job at talent evaluation. The 4 picks in the last 2 years coupled with the
jettison of Johnson to Phoenix for Delk and a tweaner like Rogers could set
us back another 5 years.

I am still hoping we can move Anderson to the Clippers and get Olowokandi
and McGinnis or one of their picks, and maybe V to Seattle or Portland and
go after Gadzuric, Boozer, or even Chris Jeffries to add some defense or
Juan Dixon.

We have to some up with an inside solution as well as add another perimeter
threat. Hopefully cook will be a steal and mature at the point.

Subject: Some Depressing News From Peter May

Eeny meeny Nene Hillario has measured out at 6-11 and can play center.
Add that to his 7-4 wingspan, his 265 pounds, and the fact
that May indicates that he may be the best athlete in the draft, and
one has to question why Wallace lacked the patience to wait
on the Denver pick?

A pick that would have put the Celtics in
position to get a Nene or a Wilcox, or a dropping Caron Butler,
or perhaps a trade up for a franchise PG like Williams. Either way,
the choice would have brought the Celtics a better prospect than
Kedrick Brown.
