It doesn't matter.  Chad Ford is under huge pressure to come
up with "insider" stuff on a daily basis for ESPN, since it is a
subscription service.  He's just running the Real GM rumor back
at us.  As for Cassell, he's a huge talent, an impact player.  But
he has to dominate the ball, and more importantly, he's been
nursing a grievance for his whole career about being underpaid.
With Baker, Pierce, and Walker on the payroll, there is no way
they are going to take him on -- even if his salary does match up
with Eric Williams for now.  Also, I believe Wallace is looking
forward to this draft, and hates being out of the game, not that that
would keep him from making a killer trade.  Which this is, in terms
of sheer talent.  But the cost and chemistry make it out of the question,
IMHO.
