Rumornating About Sam Cassell

- Are the Bucks trying to move Cassell? The other trade rumor
involving him, has him going to the Bulls for Travis Best and
Jamal Crawford.

- The rumored Celtics deal, rumored to be heard on a Milwaukee
radio station, has the Celtics trading Eric Williams and two number one
picks for Cassell. Now, that trade works cap wise, as Williams and
Cassell's
contracts are within 15 percent of each other. And it works draft choice
wise,
if the picks are spaced out over two years. The C's, because they dealt
their
number one pick last year, can't deal off both choices this year,
because of the
the Ted Stepien rule, unless they receive a 1st round pick in return or
receive
the league's permission to make the trade.

- Cassell would certainly give the Celtics their best point guard since
Tiny Archibald, or DJ/Ainge, if you consider them to be point guards.

- Acquiring Cassell would be a good move, if the team is
taking the "Future Is Now" approach, which it seems to be doing with
the moves its made in the past six months.

- Cassell at 32, obviously isn't a long term factor, but in the short
term,
and against a team like New Jersey, where the Celtics were killed at the

point guard position, Cassell could help, as he aveaged 22 points and
5 assists a game against the Nets last season.
