He does have trade value and will very likely be traded since there is bad 
blood between him and management but they aren't going to take castoffs for 
him (McCarty) or another big man to add to their surplus (Battie). I'm not 
sure but I think he cannot be traded until after December 15.

In any possible trade we have to remember that the fear of the luxury tax 
outweighs the desire to win in our organization so we have to not only trade 
contracts similar in size but in length.
