You're Thinking Too Small, P. Maurice

Why worry about Grant, when Mourning , who solves the
Celtics biggest problem, could be available.

After all, if Miami's planning to rebuild, isn't he most logical
trade possibilty? A genuine impact center, but one with a questionable
future.
Can Miami afford to keep him around and risk him being
sidelined with kidney problems again, when they can deal him off now,
and retrieve
a large bag of NBA goodies for him?

Oh, and despite some concern about his future, there will be a
manure-load of
teams like Orlando, Dallas, Milwaukee, etc,. happy to take on that risk.

His contract could be a problem, because of its large
base salary, but I'm sure a guy like Mark Cuban could work it out.

As far as the Celtics and Mourning, Riley has always been a fan of
Antoine Walker.
So that might be a good starting point to a possible deal. But would the
Celtics
management have the verve to take on Mourning's contract and questions
about his health? Unlikely, these guys haven't shown that they're risk
takers in the least.
