Did Chicago pay Mercer the max. No, and for your information Mercer is averaging 19.5 ppg, shooting 44.1%, 82.1% from FT line, 3.2 apg and 3.8 rpg. These are fairly impressive averages at SG..so what was that argument about shooting bricks.
Billups is a durable player who can play both guard positions and can defend very well which can hardly be said about Anderson. I would rather have him than watch KA steal money.

Yeah Billups and Mercer have really taken their teams to a higher level!
Imagine Mercer with the C's at the max for the next 5-6 years, damn we already have one brick tossin overpaid player why would we need 2 ?
And Billups a point that like Anderson average 3- 4 assists a game.

We would also have been better had he not traded away Billups & Mercer. Also, if he had fired himself at the begining of the season, we would have been a lock for the playoffs. - Mishra

Remember when Pitino was really interested in
trading Walker for Mashburn and Brown, and how
so many people bashed the deal. Well, looking at things
as they are now, you probably have to say, that Pitino
knew what he was doing. The C's with a rejuvenated
Mashburn, and Brown providing low post defense
and rebounding would be a stronger team than they
are now with Toine.
