from the point when OB took over (2nd half of the season), if I
remembered correctly, games were tougher but we were competitive (no
blowouts). Walker and Pierce seemed focused and enjoyed playing with
each other (unlike Shaq and Kobe). Walker "changed" after Rick left. I
am feeling that this coming season would be the continuation of
Walker's 2nd season. The 3 seasons under Ricky were wasted with
mindgames with Pitino. (clearly nobody improved under Rick)

I think the fact that Walker's (huge) deal expires in 3 years time,
coupled with all those 3 year deals OB/Wallace/Papile signed,
indicates Gaston is giving them a 3 year window to "get it done to
championship level" (my words, not Gaston's or Pond's)

I think during the last "dark" days of the Pitino regime, the Cs were
able to draw 13-14000 to their games. Up to the last few days of the
season, we were drawing almost full houses. (That's what I like about
being a celtic fan, we are loyal no matter what)
Of course you being there, would know much better the interest level
of the Cs. But I feel, once we start winning consistently and playing
comitted/never-say-die basketball this coming season, everything will
fall in place (even justifying the contracts of V and Batgirl's)
