Re: Adrian Griffin signs with Mavs

i think Grif lost out in the numbers game in his position of
SG/SF/Swingmen, competing with JJ, KB, JF, EWilliams, a part-time
Wallah and Pierce.

I think the reason Grif is not renounced by Wallace yet is partly due
to the earlier lessons of letting Fox and Wesley go for nothing, and
possibly working the phones to free up roster spot????

Just now I was in the toilet and I thought of this:

I read Grif is not asking much, maybe a 2 year deal at less than 1
mill per. Since Mark "blank check book" Cuban is very interested in
Grif, just maybe he would agree to a sign and trade of Grif for Najera
+ cash (equivalent to Najera's salary). We immediately cut Najera, who
should clear waivers to return to Mavs.

this way, Grif got his Bird rights intact and we preserve a roster
spot and most importantly, Gaston did not need to pony up any money!!!

wishful thinking?????
