My recolection is that Walker and Billups clashed repeatedly. Walker wanted the game to go through him and Billups didn't want to play it that way. As far as Chauncy being a two guard, not a point, that is very clear, but at the time, in order to get Anderson(right or wrong choice, we needed a point guard) Toronto insisted on Billups who they thought could play the point. They didn't for long though, as he was traded very quickly back to home town Denver, which didn't keep him long either.

(**) Billups and Walker didn't clash repeatedly there was this one incident where Walker chewed out Billups but the following game he was all praises for Billups when he hit the game winning shot. Chauncey is a two guard but he has very good ball handling skills and his passing skills are not two shabby either from the games that I have watched. Regarding him being traded all over the place Toronto is a stop gap location for any young player whose payday is close..Denver already has a very good pg in Nick the Quick and I am sure the Billups agent was trying to take advantage of his local status when he asked for a contract extension, in which case they let him go.

I'd love to have Chauncy now that he knows the limitations on his game and would accept a sixth man riole. The same with Mercer. With his contract year coming, there was no chance he'd play second fiddle to Pierce and like it. As for Pitino wanting to get rid of him, I don't think so, his agents pushed him out.

(**) My only comment is that there was no need to hurry Pitino could have traded Mercer any time. He traded him for a player who he didn't even give a chance.
