Oh you have got to be kidding.
Pitino sure didnt wipe out the franchise. LOL.

They have pretty much sucked since the death of Reggie.
In the Dino Radja days the Celts were flat out terrible. One year they won 15
games...right?  The team is improved since then.

More importantly..

Pitino's talent evalutation..or that of his staff isn't half as bad as this
list makes
it out to be.

Battie is thousand times better then Knight. That was a good trade.
The Herren deal will pay off in the long run.

Wesley AHEM can't play the point guard position. He is an off-guard in
Charlotte..
What exactly do we need a mediocre six two off guard for?

So while maybe you would take Wesley over Anderson..its not a no brainer.
I think a healthy in shape Kenny is far better.  Kenny can at least play the
position.
He can score, pass and dribble well.  Wesley can score, but doesn't pass or
dribble
at the point guard level.  That is why he was moved to off guard.

He has brought in no names who could play some,
and wanted to bring in some quality players who folks thought were useless...
like Alvin Williams and Rodney Rodgers. I think he has an eye for talent, but
sometimes he makes mistakes.

The Potapenko trade was bad...if only because he would have gotten
Shawn Marion..but remember alot of other teams passed on Marion too.

I thought his eye was as good as any of the other GM's out there.
None of them have perfect track records either.

I take the flip side of many folks here.
I think Pitino failed as a coach, his GM skill wasn't that bad.
It's hard being a GM, no one can ordain the future...yes not even
sports writers. They just use hindsight.

I am not at all certain that say Larry Bird can spot talent better then
Pitino.
