Pitino on Jerome

Did you all see this in the Globe? It doesn't sound like he's going on the
IR...

Pitino on the ongoing education of rookie Jerome Moiso, who, the coach said,
had his best practice yesterday. ''I had a long talk with him. I told him,
`Yes, we want to bring you along slowly. But you are the fastest runner. You
are the highest jumper. So, we need you to athletically come out. If you
make the mistakes, so be it. Make 'em. Athletically, we need you to play
right now.''' Mistakes? ''He's like a typical young college kid. Defense is
probably not the most significant thing in his life. We've got to get him
thinking about that. We all marvel at what he can do athletically.''

Of course, this begs the question of who will go on the IR. Obviously
Walter is the worst player, but Chris Herren is legitmately injured, and
Randy Brown could probably use some time to rest his groin (as could we
all). Blount and Battie won't be there; they're needed on defense. I'm
thinking maybe Brian Stith will get the call. He didn't play much the other
night, and Carr is coming along pretty well. Of course Carr didn't do much
on D. But I think it's one of those two guys.

I like this news about Jerome. Get him out there! Players need minutes.
