Bob Lobel: Walker Backstabs Pitino

Heard Pitino friend and host of the Rick Pitino Show - Bob
Lobel - on WEEI and he said a couple of interesting things:

- Walker may say all the right things about Pitino in public, but in
private he badmouths him to his media pals (read Michael Holley).

- Kenny Anderson and Walter McCarty are tight with Pitino;
Paul Pierce less so, and Lobel wonders why he has
escaped criticism, as last season Paul was neck and
neck with  Vince Carter, and now Carter is leaps and
bounds ahead of Pierce.

- Lobel believes the fans around here want an ex-Celtic type
to coach the team - They'd rather lose with a former Celtic
than win with an outsider.

- Lobel wondered along with Glen Ordway, whether Paul
Gaston would get down and dirty in the off season backing
Pitino into a corner by not rehiring GM Wallace and the
assistant coaches whose contracts are all up after the season.
Ordway asked Lobel how would Pitino fight back if that
happened? Lobel didn't know, but said Pitino wouldn't
let Gaston back him into a corner....
