Re: dawning thought

If Gene gives up on the Celts like he hinted in his last post, it's a
sure sign that even patient, diehard fans are jumping ship. To the
extent that I truly love the Celtics, I actually do wish Pitino all the
success possible. But sometimes I find myself thinking about baseball.
:-)

The Dallas loss was in many ways the most heartbreaking of the year
because my entire worldview rested on the premise that Boston could
really beat up on some weaker teams (at least at home) over the next two
months and gain confidence, consistency and momentum with each win. But
the Dallas loss proves once again that having a bunch of weak teams on
the remaining schedule is not an advantage. If anything, it's a
disadvantage. I'm certainly not looking forward to reading about which
scrub on these loser teams broke his career scoring night. There have to
be a lot of open passing lanes and shooters for players like Nash and
Pack to get 16 assists against us. I bet Nash can't wait to see us
again.
