Ironies

Let's look at what we are rproposing given the recent events.  It seems to me that if the Walker trade should occur, The Bulls would become the Celtics of 1998-1999 track and the Celts would be akin to the Bulls.  Bulls: Murcer, Walker, Brand/Artest =Pearce and others.  Boston: Pearce = Tony Kukoch/Brent Berry, Randy Brown in person, Moiso/Fizor = Brand, Hawkins, no center, etc.  Chicago: cap space and multiple draft picks in 1998-99.  Which team had the better record?

My point is that the changing pieces with Chicago isn't going to help the Celtics.  Having Hawkins/Brown and young players did nothing for the Bulls.  Why would anything be different.  If Rick makes this trade, he should ask for a set of luggage as well because the playoffs are out.  Walker in Chicago would have a better supporting cast than in Boston during the Ron Murcer years.  Brand would be better than any other forward that Walker has played alongside in his career.

Having said all that, Fizor, Crawford, and a first round pick for Walker and Dana would be a good trade for the beginning of the Larry Bird era.
