PROVIDENCE -- Rick Pitino plans to employ group
substitutions again tonight when the Boston Celtics
play the Atlanta Hawks in the second pre-season game at
the Providence Civic Center.

``We'll go one more time and then we'll try to get
rotations for the third game,'' Pitino said Wednesday
night after a 110-103 loss to Charlotte in the
preseason opener.

Pitino started Antoine Walker, Paul Pierce, Danny
Fotson, Kenny Anderson and Calbert Cheaney against the
Hornets. With 4:38 left in the first quarter he
relieved them with Tony Battie, Adrian Griffin, Eric
Williams, Wayne Turner and Pervis Ellison. He did
similar substitutions in the second, third and fourth
quarters. He also substituted individually.

After tonight's game, the Celtics will hit the road for
a week. They have dates in Charlotte next Tuesday, in
Nashville against Utah next Wednesday, in Lexington,
Ky., against Utah Oct. 23 and in Biloxi, Miss., against
Atlanta Oct. 25.

The Celts will return to New England for an Oct. 27
game in Boston against Washington and a return
engagement the following night against the Wizards in
Springfield for the Hall of Fame game.
