I think anyone who, as i did, spent the time and money getting tickets, and then spent more time and money watching the pitiful exhibition the Celtics put on last night had every right to boo. I'm not one who would heckle his team every time things go wrong, but what I saw out there last night was all sorts of things going wrong and no one even trying to fix it. I'm sure some of those guys haven't thrown in the towel, and that they still want to win, but last night there just wasn't anyone who was willing to take the necessary steps to turn the game around. Pierce and Walker both seemed like blackholes, never giving the ball up. All three of Walker, Mercer, and Pierce were having off nights shooting, but that didn't stop anyone of them from hoisting up shot after shot rather than getting the rest of the team involved. I have to believe that Pitino isn't telling them to go out there and play one-on-one every time down the floor. If he is, then he should be fired. Its seems more like this team refuses to listen and don't trust eachother enough to play team ball. And when I pay good money to see that sort of thing go on I will boo. Should i ignore it? Or cheer on their blunders? Of course not. Walker sounds like an utter moron in the paper acting as if he's all shocked and disappointed that the fans are booing. And the frightening thing is that its becoming quite clear that Pitino is not running this team. He is just being ignored because pro players have no real incentive to play in his system and things are getting worse and worse. In the fall, this whole area was up in arms when Glenn and Bledsoe ignored Carroll calling for a TO against the Dolphins. We win that game tho, and all is forgotten. Now we have a team who cannot be executing as Pitino wishes, but this time we're not winning games, we're losing badly, and its going to stop if and only if Pitino can retake control of his players on the court, and I'm not sure that's ever going to happen.
