Re: Celts Crash Land: Chicago 95 - Boston 92
A couple people have commented on how bad that miss was, but he did have
a plan. He tried to hit the right rim, and ran that way himself,
knowing where the rebound would be going. I guess the thinking was that
he wanted to get to the corner for the three they needed to tie. It was
a desperation play, and had very little chance of working.
This team has really reached a low point, but I refuse to give up on
them. They need to show something in the second half of the year when
they get to play at home. It will mean a lot for their confidence (and
ours) going into next year, even if they are out of the playoff picture.
Pitino made a comment that they can not practice because they need to
prepare for games. Maybe they would be better off practicing
fundamentals. Maybe there's no point preparing for specific teams if
you can't defened a pick and roll (his example). It's not like this
strategy is generating wins anyway.

missed the rim, backboard and nearly the crowd in back of it. I laughed
even harder after that, despite the intense pain.
