http://sports.latimes.com/news/19990831/bko/lac/19990831fhb1bcgy.html Well, Superagent David Falk is on the warpath again. He's told Donald T Sterling and the rest of the Clippers brass that Mo Taylor must be signed to the $9 million maximum on September 8, or negotiations are over. Then Falk will either seek a trade by the opening of training camp on October 5th, or have his client become a free agent. As usual, the Clippers are being indecisive. They're not sure, because of Taylor's history of not being in shape and low rebounding numbers, whether he's worth the maximum. Falk is sure, and he's gloomy about Taylor re-signing with the Clippers. Maurice Taylor would provide the Celtics with their first low post option since Dino Radja. Antoine has always been a drifter; the same for Battie; Fortson's a non-scorer; Potapenko's okay, but not a primary target - Nope, Taylor would be unique on the Celtics. But what could the Celtics give up for him? Antoine? Just what the Clippers would want, another Falk client; Kenny - See Antoine; Pot - See Antoine; McCarty - See Antoine. Nah, it would have to be either Battie or Fortson and the Denver pick, or a three team deal, where the C's would ship off one of their Falk clients for a point guard -- The Clippers biggest need -- and deal him for Taylor. Who knows, maybe it will happen, as it did last year with another Falk client who forced a trade: Potapenko, and there is Pitino's special relationship with Falk. Ray
