RE: bskball on indiana trade

Hard to believe Ryan proposed that. A dumber and more immoral trade couldn't be imagined. Especially by Ryan, who hailed Bird as the greatest player in the history of the world. When has any team in any sport in any century ever benefited from trading one great player for two mediocre ones? In gate revenues, wins, anything? Ryan should be shot for even suggesting this when Bird was at his height. I wouldn't make this trade for Bird as special assistant.
