If this is true, Shawn, then why the big speeches about how he has done
everything and has nothing more to accomplish, has always wanted to play
baseball, etc.?  You may be correct, I don't happen to have heard that slant
put on it before, so no argument with what you said.  He found out he wasn't
very good at it, so you'd think he'd be a bit more humble when he came back.
Look folks, I really don't mean to be beating up on Michael Jordan, I'm just
tired of hearing all this on/again off/again stuff.  Maybe he can't really
be blamed, maybe it's his agent or Pippin, et al, who keep the media fed
with this stuff.  I'm just sick and tired of it, that's all.  After a whole
season of hearing about how he's retiring, now we're back to this.  If it
were Larry Bird, I'd still be sick of it.  Make a decision, announce it
firmly and leave it there.  His place in the history of the NBA and the Hall
of Fame is secured.  'nuff said.
