Look for Riley to ask more for Mashburn then just settle for Antoine Walker
following which Pitino includes  Paul Pierce in the deal and adds a player
to be named later (i.e.) Ron Mercer when he becomes eligible for contract
extension.

Pitino's comments after the trade:
We see a Michael Jordan like potential in Jamal Mashburn, which he has not
realised because of injuries. I promise you he will be in the best shape of
his life and we intend to build the team around
him.

By the mid season, he will realise that Mashburn is not the real deal he
will then trade him to Warriors for Mugsey Bogues+dollars and hold a press
conference commenting:

Mashburn was coming along pretty well but we can't wait for him to develop,
we want to be good now. Mugsey gives us the facility to run the fool's gold
scheme now plus the additional dollars give us the flexibility to be active
in the free agent market next year.
