Olowokandi for Pierce

Why would the Clippers trade Olowokandi for a player they could have 
drafted instead?  Or am I missing something?  Also, I haven't seen 
'Kandi play, but I can't believe he's a sure thing.  No experience.  No 
competition in college.  Even if he's got tons of skill, his rookie deal 
will be over before he's worth having.
