Out of bounds...
Another one that's hard to convince people of: Player A is standing out of
bounds and is passing the ball inbounds. Player B is guarding him. A passes
the ball. B deflects the ball such that it hits A and then bounces out of
bounds.

Applied Rule: A is the last person to touch the ball before it went out of
bounds. Therefore B's team gains possession. The fact that A is already
standing out of bounds is irrelevant. (Though this is the argument you'll
get: A is already out of bounds and is therefore somehow part of out of
bounds, so the ball is off B. Therefore A's team maintains possession. This
argument is wrong.)
