Don't believe a word Pitino says

List,

Regarding the draft, there have been a of rumours that if the Celtics
don't get a top 3 pick in the lottery, they will trade the pick. Don't
believe the hype! I'm sure Pitino has his eye on 2 or 3 players at the #10
spot.

He is known to throw a smokescreen to keep the team's best interests in
mind. Remember in the preseason how he was throwing great praise the way
of Pervis and Dee Brown? Do you think he was doing it because they really
deserved it? He was trying to build them up to trade them.

There will be a number of good players available at the 10 spot. They
will probably keep the pick. Everyone is building up Geiger and Ratliff,
but step back, are they really that good and worth the money? Probably
not. We could almost definitely get a better player at the 10 spot.
Doleac, Mohammed, Lee Nailon, Brian Skinner, Keon Clark, Pat Garrity or a
guard such as Bonzi Wells or Larry Hughes. Why is everyone so down on the
draft? These are some good young players!

As far as the best shooter/scorer available, that is probably Pat Garrity.
I'm not sure if he'd be as effective in Pitino's up-tempo system though.
If you really want the best shooter in the draft, you would draft Curtis
Staples of Virginia, a probable low 2nd round pick.

Please, don't draft a high school player! Rashard Lewis is way too thin
and Al Harrington is in the same exact vein as Antoine Walker, but 3 years
behind in skill.
