Good call, Gregg and others. I've only watched AD play three times this
year on cable, since I live in Paris. So my remark was based mainly on
how infrequently he played last year for a mediocre team (Golden State).
There's no question Pitino puts guys like AD in shape to be the best
players they can be.

I guess it's possible AD's will be one of the guys who's going to help
us "Beat LA" in 2000. After all, the Bulls have won with similar players
at that position. But having said this, I personally hope AD is just a
Hank Finkel type transitional guy (between the Russell and Cowens
championship teams).

AD's not a jump shot away from being a great player, anymore than Peter
May is a sense of humour away from being the next great Boston sports
writer (IMO).
