You're right, but it is no crime to still have memories of former Celtics.
Heck, I met Ed Pinckney when he played with the Raptors and all we did was
discuss the C's. It's not a question of importance, it's a question of
respect. I hope Kenny leads the Celtics to the promised land, though we
know it won't be this year, but even if he does, that won't mean that we
won't think fondly of, or second-guess the loss of players like Rick Fox,
David Wesley or Chauncey Billups.

Yesterday, I watched the Raptors play the Grizzlies and got to see a bit of
progress in Billups. He did his famous up in the air move but, he laid it
off nicely for easy shots twice, just before hit hit two consecutive fouth
quarter three's. Given some time, he will be a star player. But he made
one move which reminded me closely of the great Dave Bing. He drove his
defender toward a screen, took a one-dribble reverse and popped. A move
which I remember Bing using when he played with Bob Lanier.

BTW, I was told that one of the problems surrounding the whole Anderson
hoopla with the Raptors centered around the fact that "supposedly" Kenny has
a real alcohol problem, and Toronto wanted some guarantee that he was
seeking assistance. Please don't flame me for this, and I have no evidence
that such hearsay is true. I'm simply passing along what I was told.
