Well, I finally got a DSS dish and watched my 1st Celtics game
since the Larry Bird return to Boston.  Unfortunately, I watched
the game on TBS because DirectTV blacks out Fox Sports NE unless
you buy a basketball package.  More on that later.

The Celtics still look like they did against Indiana in January.
Young, raw, and in dire need of a big man.  Kenny Anderson looked
better on Celtic Digest than he did tonight.  The Jazz simply are
the more veteran team, more talented, and put down every Celtic
rally when they had to.  Give the Celtics credit for hanging
around until midway through the 4th quarter, but a bad play here
and there helped the Jazz win going away.

Karl Malone is apparently the Bobby Jones of the 1990s.  The refs
take great care of him.  Did you see that play in the 4th quarter
when DeClercq made that great reject but they called a foul on
Andrew?  In his post game conference, Pitino made a comment on
the officiating, and he was much too polite.  Malone got a call
there, one of many.  DeClercq fouled out, Knight had maybe 4
fouls, yet Malone had only 1 or 2 fouls.

Anyway, if you were me, would you buy the DirectTV NBA Pass
package at the midseason price of $99 ($33 over 3 months)?  I'm
still thinking, I bought the baseball package and my money goes
only so far.
