Billups/Anderson

It's hard to believe Pitino actually made this trade. I admit that Billups
skills work better in a half court set but he has major league talent and in
a couple of years, could be an all star. It seemed, there were many teams
offering wanting him. What we got is a player with a rep for playing selfish
who is shooting under 40% and only averages just over 5 assist per game. To
boot, he's smaller than Billups and doesn't have the defensive talent. Add
to that, both the other players Tabak and Jones are on the injured list.
Jones out for the season and Tabak 6-8 weeks. When I first heard the rumor,
I hoped that if it happened, we should at least get Wallace for some inside
help or possibly a number 1 draft pick. I think this trade belongs in the
same class as when the Celts traded for Macado, gave away their draft picks
for a me first player. A dark day for the Celts. If Pitino pulls a second
trade before the deadline to get rid of Anderson maybe their's hope but
Pitino's work as GM has been pretty dissapointing.
