Stupid Idea-Franchise player

Just a question; If you have a designated franchise player receiving
approx 35% of your cap, doesn't he in effect become untradeable,
assuming that the rest of the teams all have designated franchise
players, no team could have 2 designated franchise players on their
roster as they would be way over the cap? Besides if you have a
franchise player who is a stiff, your team would be stuck with him for
the length of his contract about 6 years.
