Now there's a deal?

I tell you what. We the public are having so much smoke blow in our faces
that we could file a class-action suit for damages due to second-hand smoke.
It looks like the two sides of greed in this whole thing have been as
honsest with us as Bill Clinton. Last we heard from these talks, the owners
walked out after a half hour saying that a deal was not even close. Now,
after no know negotiations I read in an AP story that both sides say a deal
is close. In fact, the story says that "a deal could be reached in 24 hours."
I hope someone finds this story online and posts it to the list. (If it has
not already been done. I get the digest and won't know what's been posted
today until later.)

Is this for real or are we just waiting to for Billy Hunter to come out and
say "The deal's off. I thought that I had agreed to a *celery* cap. You
know, for lunch. The strings get caught in my teeth."
