Draft

Now that the season is officially over (and free agency matters, 
including the Walker signing, are completely up in the air pending CBA 
resolution), shall we focus on the one certainty -- the June 24 draft?

If the C's draft @ 10:  Traylor?  Doleac?  A falling Keon Clark?  A 
rising Skinner?  Or do they go for the scoring 3 (Garrity?  Harpring?) 
on the hope that they can land a Ratliff, Austin, Stewart, Geiger or 
Longley to bolster the interior?  

If the C's draft 1, 2 or 3 (WHICH STILL WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH TO COMPENSATE 
FOR LAST YEAR'S TRAVESTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Excuse me.  I needed to do 
that.):  Olowokandi, I hope.  I'm not sold on Jamison as a Celtic -- he 
strikes me as a less versatile and talented version of Walker and I 
don't trust his range.  Pierce, similarly, strikes me as a less talented 
Mercer.  I definitely don't want LaFrentz.  Bibby would be a great pick 
if the C's could then move Anderson, which I don't see as likely.

By the way, does anyone (Jason?) have the straight scoop on the C's 
second round pick status?   I know they got 2 from Denver (1999 and 
2001, I think) in the Williams trade.  I think they gave up 2 in the 
Mills trade (no idea which ones -- could it be that the Knicks pick 
'em?) and possibly 1 in the Roy Rogers for Massenburg deal.  DO WE HAVE 
A SECOND ROUND PICK THIS YEAR, or is all this talk of Jeff Sheppard 
donning green just a pipe dream?

And what is the deal with Jeelani McCoy?
