My thanks to Theresa Lee for providing a little sanity about trading for
Greg Ostertag. He played himself into a big contract with some tough play,
but showed up out of shape and unmotivated after signing his big deal.
Where is his (celtic???) pride? Rick P. has a deserved rep for motivating
players but he does basically handpick his guys, knowing beforehand
something of their reputations and their abilities to respond to his act.
If a guy like Greg can't pay the price on a team with two hall of famers, a
team picked to return to the conference finals if not go all the way, then
why would you give up anything to get him, despite our need for a center?
Sounds like Macilvane (sic) Koncak, Dudley , Knight, etc all over again!
