An article at www.usatoday.com says that Pitino will coach for the first six years of a ten year deal, then become the director of basketball operations for the last four. This tells me he isn't going to do both at the same time. Maybe the door is still open for Larry as director, or GM if Volk leaves, which the article says he might.
