Well, the Spurs beat the Pacers. Avery Johnson scored 26 points and
had 9 assists. I don't see that as a race for the bottom.

<BR>And I don't believe the Celts are consciously playing to drift there or
tanking games. I do not root for the Celtics to lose or to get Tim
Duncan. BUT, I do believe that the corporate strategy is to build
by having ML take the heat as they know they can not win, especially without
a center, and get into the lottery.

<BR>As for other fans, I do not control them and can not tell them to root
to lose or win. I just know that I always root to win. Period.
I HATE to lose. Even against my 11 year old son playing HORSE.
So, I play left handed with one hand and let him take 3 shots when
he misses to make it "fair", plus stay away from hook shots etc
that he can't make. But I never tank it. Never. And I think
that is what management is doing. They will not tank it, but are
making the Celtics play left-handed.
