a lot that is happening with the celtics. Pitino is trying to move Brown
and Ellison by packaging them with players and creating a marketable
package.
> It appears that these two could be packaged with Williams, Weatherspoon
and the picks in either two seperate deals or one big deal for a big name
player. So let me pose this question, suppose hypothetically the C's are
ready to deal Minor + Brown + Ellison + Williams + Weatherspoon + 3rd + 6th
who could we deal it to and what can we get in return. You are allowed to
break it any way you like and the salaries should match. The salaries of
incumbents on the celtics side is = 1.8 + 3.25 + 1.76 + 1.0 + 2.8 = 10.61.

Rumor has Pippen going to Golden State for Joe Smith so that would remove
them from the picture if it happened which seems highly probable. I think
the top candidates are :

Jayson Williams could be coming to stay or as a part of a future trade.

Vin Baker - I think it is looking better he will be a Celtic next year, but
once again I would not give up the farm for him, he is good but not great.
I hope they give up Say Jayson Williams obtained in a trade & another
player, but not the draft picks, a 3 for 1, or dropping down to 10 is too
much IMO. There is some good talent in the top 6-7

McDyess is still a possibility, but it would seem the Lakers have more to
offer, but if Denver likes Battie & he is available at 3, it could happen.
But I don't think he fills our center needs and has a similar game to
Antoine. If it were to happen, would San Antonio consider a package with
McDyess and a few other veterans for the #1 ? I still like keeping the
picks or at least 1, Duncan will not help alone and getting a Baker for Say
Jayson Williams & Spoon, along with Mercer & Van Horn would be better for
us in the long run
