The San Diego paper had a good article on Bill Walton and his dominant High
School days at La Mesa Helix. 

 It had a funny parts like when he scored 52 points without really
shooting, he just passed to others and tipped in their shots.  It also
mentioned High school rankings rating Tom Mcmillan as a better player out
of high school and someone like Wooden saying "Yeah right , who is this guy
superman ? " It stated that the school gave him keys to the gym.  He said
he used to get calls from San Diego Clipper players like Rudy Tomjanovich &
Calvin Murphy to open up he gym.  He said he remembers his mother saying ,
"It's some guy named Rudy Tomjanovich, he seems kind of old, what does he
want ?"
