Brian,

I would tend to agree with you on Day's performance being erratic. But
who on the team is really consistent? Fox? Weseley? Maybe. All I am
suggesting is that if Day continues to play this way he would be a nice
compliment to the team--if we pay him a small salary.

As for Todd not biting on a modest contract. More power to him, If he
can find someone else. But I don't think that will happen. I think
that Todd is at a point in his career when he will have to take what is
being offered to him. With the current NBA salary structure (the
superstars making gazzilons and the rest signing for the league min) I
don't think we will be seeing anymore contacts like Minor's.

Actually that the new labor agreement is actually going to hinder
agent's quests to get their clients more money. Take a look at Brian
Williams fiasco, and all off the vetrans making the leauge minimum.

Lastly, I'd like to say that I think the Celtics trait of rewarding
loyalty with contracts is great. But they must start to act like this
is a business, and become more hardnosed in negotiations. They should
offer a contract and say 'if you can do better, good luck.' They must
learn when to draw the line.

I've rambled long enough,
