Re: EW trade

I wish these were true, but the Boston Globe reported that the Celtics
management had not even opened negotiations with Eric Williams. EW side
said they were very eager to negotiate an extension, and the Celtics did
not even open negotiations.

As to rather having a second round pick over a first - if there is nobody
there that you want, you don't have to sign the player (like Chicago with
Travis Knight). There is really no way a second round pick is better than
a first round pick unless you can guarantee that all of the first round
picks will let the player you want drop until the second round - and even
then you have to sign them to at least two years or you will lose them
like the Lakers lost Travis Knight.
