What was Jeff Stein Thinking?

Unfortunately, it appears Stein was too young and inexperienced to put his own
preferences aside to produce a balanced documentary representative of the
band's major works. It's really quite amazing that the Who gave Stein complete
control in selecting the content of the film. Then again, even if the band was
involved in the creative process, there's no guarantee they would have
insisted on including something from Quad, considering their feelings for the
album at that time.
