I will agree with you that no democracy should suffer this kind of
thing. However, I still believe it is wrong to compare the death of a
single politician to the act of war against America and Western
Civilisation that September 11th was. I have had private correspondence
with Bjorn over my comments and out of respect for other list members I
will not go on on the list beyond responding briefly to a couple of
points Bjorn made.

Of course not. Ballot, not bullet. 

However, your animal rights activists clearly seem to believe that it's
ok to kill someone with a different opinion.

Extremism begets extremism. It's a hard and nasty lesson to learn and
it's a shame Holland has learnt it this way.
