Re: thoughts...

well first off i must confess i am a lurker
but i just had to respond to this post -- growing up the kids i hung out with
we lived quadrophenia ---- i can't tell you how many times these and other
songs have got me through some tough times as an adolescent and an adult.
whenever i am really upset or down about something i have to turn them on. my
husband is the same as steve's wife--thinks i need to get a life--he did not
grow up where i did or when for that matter--he is 7 years younger---and so
like a previous post--where are all my who freaks from yesteryear in
massachusetts??????? i must say though at least i did get to meet john once
at a small club in hartford ct. got a photo and autograph. i did tell him
then "thanks for the music" so i am glad about that. as for the tour well,
who's to say how people should handle grief. I myself for one turn on quad.
i did it when my grandfather died( he was my best friend) i did it when my
cousin just died at 42 of a heart attack i did it when i had a fight with my
mother, boyfriend, kids, husband etc. its the music that always got me
through and it seems to me that this list serves a purpose for all of those
who have lost their who freaks of yesteryear-- oh yea tommy was influential
in me becomming a special ed teacher and that was given to me by my
grandfather who recognized a talented band when he saw on-------
thanks for letting me come out of the shadows
