There are quite a bit of decent sounboard-type recordings of The WHO in
1969.  I guess they were recording lots of shows for a future live album.
After the tour, the story goes that, rather than wade through all the recorded
shows, they burned 'em all in a big bonfire & recorded the two Leeds concerts 
for the live album.  Some material survived the flames, I guess.

Yes, the Amsterdam show is quite good.  I remember being pleased when
I found it on vinyl back in the 80's (FIRST COMPLETE ROCK OPERA).
Of course none of the boots from this time period sound as nice as LEEDS.
For example, the drums on the Amsterdam boots I've heard are somewhat
weak (recording-wise, not Moon-wise).

However, Pete's guitar sounds like heaven from this boot.  Man, the noise
parts in "Shakin' All Over" & "My Genereation" are marvelous.  If you get
off on Pete's guitar sound from this period, this boot's for you!
