I've always wondered about that.  John Lennon and Paul McCartney got
together at about the same age and were close friends (then).  For some
reason you don't get quite the same feeling between Pete and John.  It's
like even at that early age they were just working together and weren't
pals.  It would certainly be something to ask either one of them if you run
into them.
